We have had an exciting agenda beginning to focus on the primary colors. So far, we have had a chance to work on the color RED. To get the kids really into things, we associated the color red with things and events that they could relate to. One event involved finding all the red toys in the room, making red banners, and making apples out of construction and tissue papers. As part of our "Red Day Celebration," Room 9 paraded throughout Merrick Woods waving their banners, chanting Red Day, and wishing each room a "Happy Red Day!" Delicious red apples and strawberries were provided as a special snack.
