Run! Run! Run! As fast as you can!
In Room 3, the children listened to the story The Gingerbread Man retold
by Jim Aylesworth. As a class, they were able to retell the story in sequential
order. They learned rhyming words that helped them read the story. After
the book, they passed around a stuffed gingerbread man and were able to
look at what was used to make the gingerbread man in the story. After
the story the children made their own Gingerbread people. The girls put
bows on their heads and the boys put bows as their bowties. We then displayed
them on our bulletin board titled “Have a Sugar and Spiced filled
Holiday!”
