This month, the Toddlers in Room 1 had an opportunity to
visit Merrick Woods’ very own pumpkin patch. We took a walk to the
back of Merrick Woods’ property, and each child had a turn to pick
out which pumpkin they wanted. The children had a great time deciding
on their pumpkin. They ran to pick them up and were so proud to have been
able to pick them out all by themselves. When we returned to the room,
we read the book “Pumpkin Pumpkin” where the children learned
about how pumpkins grow; from seeds to flowers to a full grown pumpkin.
