Candy Cane Cookies
The children in Miss Jackie and Miss Peggy’s class made candy cane cookies. We took turns adding ingredients to a basic sugar cookie recipe, an egg and extra flour. We mixed, pounded and separated the dough into two balls. To one ball we added red food coloring. To the other we added peppermint oil. A twist here and a twist there and you have candy cane cookies that are ready to bake. When they come out of the oven they are pretty to look at, delightful to smell, and fun to eat!
