Miss Kathy, Miss Maria
This month the children in Room 9, along with Miss Kathy and Miss Maria, talked a lot about the season winter. One project that we made to tie in with this theme was snowmen. First, we took a piece of white and black paper and rolled it into a cylinder shape. Next, each child painted a paper plate black to use as the rim of the hat. After that dried, they glued on eyes, a nose, two buttons, a scarf, and finally glitter glued a mouth. When they had finished that, we stapled on some white streamer paper to turn it into a snowman windsock. They came out so cute. Later they learned a song to go along with the project.
I’m a Little Snowman (to the tune of: I’m a Little Teapot)
I’m a little snowman short and fat
Here is my scarf and here is my hat
When it is snowing come and play
Make a snowman everyday!
