Merrick Woods played host to a member of the 306th Military Police, Sgt. Major Sue Rubinstein, who will soon be leaving for Iraq. A special project called Operation Ziplock “2” enabled our Merrick Woods families to send in care packages which will be shipped overseas and distributed directly to our troops specifically those attached to the U.S. Army Military Police Units 306 and 310 based out of Uniondale.
Sgt. Major Rubinstein was visibly touched when Miss Debbie’s and Miss Krista’s classes stood and sang a rousing patriotic song complete with class-made flags. It was a fitting ending and heartwarming sendoff to one of our “finest”.
