Miss Debbie, Miss Jessica and Miss Amanda
In room 12, we talked about caterpillars and butterflies. We read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” by Eric Carle. We then made our own caterpillars, which changed into butterflies. The children painted a clothespin and added pom-poms and eyes to give us our caterpillar. Next, we filled sandwich bags with colorful tissue paper. The sandwich bags were then placed in the clothespin to give us a beautiful butterfly. Our final step was to add a magnetic strip; this way they can “fly” all around the house!
