Baking is always a fun activity to do. To get in the spirit of Valentine’s
Day, as well as to tie in the Letter of the Week (L), each child made
their own “Love Cookie”. We made our own sugar/roll out cookie
dough. The children rolled the dough out on a well-floured, flat surface,
and then cut cookie shapes with heart-shaped cookie cutters. The hardest
part was waiting for them to bake!! Next, the children frosted their cookies
with vanilla frosting, and then chose either sprinkles, red sugar, or
writing a special word with red gel to decorate their cookie. The best
part was eating their creations for snack!! Try them, you will LOVE them!
