5-6 potatoes grated
4 eggs
salt & pepper (not too much)
flour or matzo meal
The children loved making and eating these delicious creations, or I should say most of them. They learned that they taste almost like french fries. It takes a lot of hard work to make latkes. First, we washed the potatoes, then we grated them (watch out for those knuckles). We added eggs, salt, pepper and a little flour to hold it all together and fried them in vegetable oil until they are nicely brown and crispy. Mmmmm good!
