We have finished our colors and we are discussing shapes. We are talking about how you can tell one shape from another and how we see shapes in things we use around the classroom.
The shapes the children have reviewed so far are circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. The children will be using triangles and rectangles to make their shape tree, and squares, triangles and rectangles to make their shape dreidels. Along with their knowledge of shapes, the children also compared the sizes of the shapes in order to choose what went next in building their shape trees and dreidels. In the end, the children saw their tree made of shapes also made a triangle.
