Miss Kathy and Miss Maria
This past month the children in Room 1, along with Miss Kathy and Miss Maria, worked on making our holiday decorations. One decoration that we made was Gingerbread People. By doing this project we were able to tie a couple of our senses into it. First, we started off by having the Gingerbread People shapes cut out of sand paper. We all felt the scratchy surface. Next, each child poured a little ginger and cinnamon spice on top of them for smell. The next step was to put the people into a tin and glue gold sequins around the whole shape and to add buttons to them. Finally, we took pictures of each child, cut their faces out and glued them on our people. The children were so proud to see the finished project.
