The Kindergarten and Kindergarten Enrichment classes had a Bake Sale to raise moneyto participate in Newsday’s Help-A-Family. All the cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other treats were sold to children, teachers, and staff members at Merrick Woods. All the money we collected was sent to Newsday’s Help-A-Family.
This was a great learning experience for the children. The Kindergartners enjoyed selling to the younger children, the teachers, and staff members at Merrick Woods. They were also very proud that they were helping a less fortunate family (bringing them some Holiday Cheer).
