Miss Kathy and Miss Maria
This month the children in Room 1 made potato head Leprechauns to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. First we scooped out the potato from the top. Then the children glued eyes, a nose, and a bow tie on them. When that all dried, we put four toothpicks in them to make them stand. Lastly, they put some dirt into the hole and added some grass seeds on top of the dirt. Finally they added water and took it home with the following directions:
Water it daily
Give it sunshine
Talk to it
Watch its hair grow!!
The children had a lot of fun creating this. Some of them even brought us in a picture of how the grass had grown, while others told us how they gave it a hair cut!!
