This month, our Music Enrichment class has started to do “The Story Box”.  It’s a trunk-like box with costumes and instruments inside that promotes dramatic play.  Once a week the children will open the box, and by identifying the items inside they will guess what the story of the week is.  (For those of you from my generation, do you remember Carole and Paula from The Magic Garden?)  The children also interpret the stories by using musical instruments. This is something that’s new to our school music program and the children are having a ball with it!!
