As part of the celebration of Merrick Woods’ 50th Anniversary, we had a giant “birthday party” outside. The children in each class came up with 5 words that they think about when they hear Merrick Woods. We all sang and danced and each class presented their 5 words. Read a little poem to see just what we did.
We just wanted you to know
That today was our “50’s” show
A kickoff to our special year
We sang a little song
And gave a little cheer
Then we drew a little with some chalk
To create some “50’s talk” along our walk
